Overview
- The Medical Counselling Committee opened Round 1 registration on Monday, October 12, with the window and fee payment open until October 21 and choice filling running through October 22.
- MCC will process allotments on October 22–23 and publish Round 1 results on October 24, with candidates required to report to colleges between October 26 and November 2 and joined-candidate verification on November 3.
- Round 1 covers 50% of All India Quota (AIQ) postgraduate seats plus every seat in deemed and central universities and is followed by Round 2, Round 3 and a stray vacancy round through December to fill remaining seats.
- Candidates must pay a non-refundable registration fee and a refundable security deposit that varies by category and institution type, for example central university deposits (Rs 25,000 general; Rs 10,000 reserved) and a Rs 2,00,000 security deposit for deemed university seats.
- The counselling follows NEET PG results declared September 24 that showed six-year low qualifying cut-offs and established the candidate pool competing for seats, a factor that will shape demand and seat movement across the multiple rounds.
