Overview

  • On June 30, the MCA Apex Council ratified Yashasvi Jaiswal’s request to withdraw his No Objection Certificate, confirming his availability for Mumbai’s next domestic season.
  • In April, Jaiswal surprised officials by applying for an NOC to join Goa, attracted by a proposed leadership role as the side headed into the Ranji Trophy knockouts.
  • He reversed that move in May, citing curtailed family relocation plans and clarifying that he had not submitted his NOC to the BCCI or Goa Cricket Association.
  • The final approval ends weeks of transfer speculation and guarantees that the 23-year-old opener will represent Mumbai in the 2025–26 Ranji Trophy, Vijay Hazare Trophy and other state competitions.
  • A product of Mumbai cricket since age 11, Jaiswal has risen through Under-19 ranks, scored a Vijay Hazare double century and secured an IPL contract before establishing himself as a Test opener.
