Overview
- Organisers GAIL, Petronet LNG, MC² Foundation and IIT Hyderabad held the MC² Plus IGNITE Hyderabad Connect at IIT Hyderabad on Tuesday and publicly opened local engagement for the accelerator.
- The programme will select about 30 early‑stage startups and offer convertible funding up to ₹50 lakh plus milestone funding up to ₹1.5 crore tied to pilots and technical milestones.
- Hyderabad’s edition emphasised Digital Asset Management, promoting AI, machine learning, sensors, robotics, drones and digital twins to turn conventional LNG and energy infrastructure into predictive, prescriptive assets.
- IIT Hyderabad committed faculty expertise, research facilities and testbeds to support pilots, while GAIL and Petronet offered industry mentorship and pathways for real‑world deployment.
- MC² Plus follows seven priority themes—including subsurface AI, next‑gen drilling, refinery process intensification, bio‑energy (CBG), and hydrogen and mobility—and frames support around 'Make in India' tech self‑reliance and the net‑zero transition.
