Overview

• Transit Police announced they have identified the woman seen in video pushing an older passenger off the bus on Sept. 8 around 1 p.m. at MLK Jr. Boulevard and Warren Street.
• Officials have not released the suspect’s name publicly, and no arrest or charging information has been disclosed.
• Onboard footage shows the suspect repeatedly pushing the victim at the front door, shoving her to the sidewalk, and tossing the victim’s shopping cart before leaving with a stroller.
• Investigators said an officer arrived about seven minutes after the incident and paramedics reached the scene roughly 20 minutes later; the victim was taken to a hospital and her current condition has not been confirmed.
• Riders expressed alarm about safety on Boston buses, and Transit Police have asked anyone with information to contact their investigators at 617-222-1050.
