MBDA Delivers First Fast-Tracked ASTER Missiles under OCCAR Programme

  • MBDA has delivered the first batch of ASTER surface-to-air missiles in under 30 months under an OCCAR-coordinated programme aiming to supply nearly 1,000 missiles to France, Italy and the UK.
  • MBDA has modernised and expanded production sites in Bourges, Selles-Saint-Denis and Fusaro, strengthened supply chains and recruited hundreds of staff.
  • The company’s €2.4 billion investment plan underpins a fivefold surge in 2025 missile deliveries and paves the way for sustained output through 2026.
  • More than 100 newly produced ASTER missiles are earmarked for Ukraine to bolster air defence around Kyiv against ongoing threats.
