Mazda Unveils Third-Generation 2026 CX-5 With Larger Cabin and Google-Powered Infotainment

Mazda’s redesigned CX-5 debuts a 15.6-inch Google-based touchscreen inside its larger cabin.

The 2026 CX-5 is 11 centimetres longer, 1.5 centimetres wider and set on a wheelbase that’s increased by almost 8 centimetres.

  • The new CX-5 grows by about 11 cm in length, 1.5 cm in width and nearly 8 cm in wheelbase, boosting rear-seat legroom and cargo volume.
  • Under the hood, the carryover 2.5 L Skyactiv-G four-cylinder engine is recalibrated for smoother response, and a Skyactiv-Z hybrid variant is set to join the lineup in 2027.
  • Inside, Mazda installs its largest ever 15.6-inch central display running Google-based infotainment with Google Assistant and pared-back physical controls.
  • Exterior updates include a more chiseled, wider-set front fascia and the replacement of the Mazda wings emblem with a bold “MAZDA” wordmark.
