Mazda CX-60 Adds G25 Four-Cylinder in Australia, Entry Price Falls to $44,240

Mazda expects the cheaper grade to take about one-third of CX-60 sales to help meet NVES goals.

Overview

  • Orders are open now with customer deliveries due in September 2025, with a national drive-away offer of $47,990 ($48,990 in Western Australia).
  • The G25 pairs a 2.5-litre non‑turbo four-cylinder (138kW/250Nm) with an eight-speed multi-clutch automatic and rear-wheel drive only.
  • The new powertrain is offered in Pure, Evolve and Touring trims, while GT and Azami grades remain unavailable with the G25.
  • The addition drops the CX-60’s entry cost by $16,560 in four months as Mazda repositions pricing following slower-than-expected sales and regulatory pressures.
  • Base specification trades some cabin refinements for price but retains key tech such as AEB, a 360-degree camera and smartphone connectivity, and posts a claimed 7.5L/100km combined fuel use versus 7.4L/100km for the G40e.
