Mazda Cuts Prices and Expands Safety Tech Across Large CX SUV Range
The changes are a value-led reset intended to sharpen the competitiveness of Mazda’s larger CX models.
Overview
- Mazda Australia announced between July 21 and 23 that it has revised 2026 list prices and specifications for the CX-60, CX-70, CX-80 and CX-90 and the changes are available at dealers now.
- The company set inline-six petrol and diesel variants at identical prices across equivalent grades to remove the previous diesel upcharge and simplify the lineup.
- Plug-in hybrid P50e variants have been repositioned to carry roughly a $5,000 premium over equivalent petrol or diesel models, producing list-price cuts for many PHEV trims of up to about $7,650.
- Price reductions vary by model and trim with the biggest cuts focused on the CX-70 and CX-90 and some diesel CX-90 variants falling by more than $9,000 while the CX-80 also gains a new diesel Pure entry grade priced from $56,100 before on-road costs.
- Mazda expanded standard equipment on the CX-60 and CX-90 to include Mazda Connected Services and safety systems such as Front Cross Traffic Brake, Cruising Traffic Support and Driver Emergency Assist to improve convenience and low-speed driver support.
