Mazagon Dock Nears Rs 1.06 Lakh Crore Deals for Nine Submarines

  • The Defence Ministry is poised to award the twin contracts by March 31, 2026, with first deliveries scheduled six to seven years post-signing and annual follow-on builds.
  • DRDO’s indigenous air-independent propulsion system will be fitted during INS Kalvari’s refit in September 2025, marking the start of upgraded endurance for the existing fleet.
