Maxx Crosby Donates $1M to Alma Mater and Prepares for First Game in Detroit Amid Stellar Season

  • Maxx Crosby, born in Michigan and Las Vegas Raiders edge rusher, has donated $1 million to the athletic department of his alma mater, Eastern Michigan University. The school's football field will be named after Crosby beginning in 2024.
  • Acknowledging the significant role Eastern Michigan University has played in shaping his life, Crosby believes that he wouldn't have achieved his career in NFL, met his life-long friends and his wife without attending EMU.
  • Crosby, once a Lions fan, will play his first game in Detroit. He wanted to be drafted by Detroit in 2019 but was eventually selected by the Raiders in the fourth round of the 2019 NFL Draft.
  • The Raiders two-time Pro Bowler has more than one sack this season and has a streak of at least half a sack in five consecutive games – the longest in his career. Besides physical training, he focused on the mental aspect of his game by reading.
  • Crosby has had a career driven by his addictive personality towards progression, admitting it helped him focus to put all his energy into football. With his constant pursuit of perfection, he has played a crucial role in helping the Las Vegas defense limit opponents.
