Maximor Launches With $9 Million Seed to Bring AI Agents to Finance Teams

The startup connects to core finance software to generate audit-ready reconciliations that reduce reliance on spreadsheets.

Overview

  • Foundation Capital led the seed round with participation from Gaia Ventures and Boldcap, alongside angels including Perplexity’s Aravind Srinivas and Zuora’s Tien Tzuo as well as finance leaders from Ramp, Gusto and MongoDB.
  • Maximor deploys specialized AI agents that plug into ERPs and accounting systems such as NetSuite, Intacct, QuickBooks and Zoho Books plus payroll, CRM and banking tools.
  • The platform produces workpapers, reviewer notes and audit trails by default and can export reconciled outputs to Excel to fit auditor and finance team workflows.
  • Early customer Rently cut its month-end close from eight days to four, avoided two accounting hires and redirected roughly half of its team’s time to strategic work, according to its CFO.
  • The company targets mid-market and enterprise teams, supports GAAP and IFRS, offers a human-in-the-loop accounting option, operates from New York with a Bengaluru office and 18 staff, and plans to expand agent capabilities and industry modules.
