Max Launching Live Sports Add-On in October With MLB Playoffs, Costing $9.99 Per Month After February Promotion

Warner Bros. Discovery will launch a Bleacher Report live sports add-on for its Max streaming service on October 5th.
The add-on will include MLB, NBA, NHL, NCAA, and U.S. Soccer games and studio shows like Inside the NBA.
Max subscribers will get the add-on for free until February 29th, after which it will cost $9.99 per month.
The launch aims to appeal to younger viewers while maintaining relationships with cable/satellite companies.
Competitors like Apple TV+, Amazon, and Disney also offer live sports, but Warner Bros. Discovery will make all its sports available on both linear TV and Max.
