Max Hartung Appointed to Deutsche Sporthilfe Board

Former fencing champion Max Hartung will join Deutsche Sporthilfe's board in a newly created role focusing on communication.

Max Hartung, a former world champion fencer, will assume his new board position on February 15, 2025.
Hartung's role will include responsibilities for communication, public affairs, and curatorial matters within the organization.
He joins a leadership team with Karin Orgeldinger and Karsten Petry, whose contracts have been extended for four years.
Hartung has a strong background in sports politics, having led the Athletes Commission in the German Olympic Sports Confederation.
Christian Seifert, chairman of the Sporthilfe supervisory board, praised Hartung as a valuable asset to the organization.
