Overview
- Umansky voluntarily withdrew from Special Forces during the October 15 episode after saying he cracked a rib when he was punched in a milling/boxing challenge with Matt Barnes.
- He told reporters he left to avoid entering a building filled with tear gas, fearing that coughing with a cracked rib could puncture a lung in the Malaysian jungle setting of the show.
- Umansky says he sought medical evaluation after leaving, that the rib was confirmed cracked, and that recovery took about 10 weeks before he returned to the gym.
