Matthew Warchus to Direct 'Chitty Chitty Bang Bang' Remake with Script by Enda Walsh

Matthew Warchus, known for 'Matilda the Musical' and 'Pride,' has been confirmed as the director for the upcoming 'Chitty Chitty Bang Bang' remake.
The screenplay is being written by Enda Walsh, a Tony-winning playwright and screenwriter recognized for works like 'Small Things Like These' and 'Hunger.'
The film is being developed by Amazon MGM Studios in collaboration with EON Productions, continuing their partnership following the James Bond franchise projects.
The original 1968 film, based on Ian Fleming's novel, became a beloved family classic featuring a magical flying car and an Oscar-nominated title song by the Sherman Brothers.
This new adaptation is in the early stages of development, with no release date or casting details announced yet.
