Matthew Wade Retires from International Cricket, Transitions to Coaching Role

The Australian wicketkeeper-batsman concludes a 13-year career and will coach in the upcoming T20 series against Pakistan.

Matthew Wade announced his retirement from international cricket after a career spanning 13 years and 225 matches across all formats.
Wade will serve as Australia's wicketkeeping and fielding coach for the T20 series against Pakistan next month.
In his international career, Wade scored 1,613 runs in Tests, 1,867 runs in ODIs, and 1,202 runs in T20Is.
He was instrumental in Australia's maiden T20 World Cup victory in 2021, notably with a match-winning innings against Pakistan in the semi-final.
Despite retiring from international play, Wade will continue participating in domestic and franchise cricket, including the BBL.
