Matthew Vaughn Expresses Interest in Directing 'Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow'

Despite Early Casting of Milly Alcock as Supergirl, Vaughn Considers Directing Role

Matthew Vaughn, known for directing ensemble films like X-Men: First Class, has expressed interest in directing the upcoming DCU film, Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow, despite finding it 'weird' that the lead role was cast before a director was chosen.
Milly Alcock, who gained recognition for her role as Rhaenyra Targaryen in 'House of the Dragon', has been cast as Supergirl in the upcoming film.
Vaughn was approached by the new DC CEOs, James Gunn and Peter Safran, to helm one of the projects in DCU’s Chapter One: Gods and Monsters.
Despite his reservations about the casting process, Vaughn has stated that Alcock was a good choice for the role of Supergirl.
Alcock, a 23-year-old Australian actor, is expected to appear in an unknown DC project before headlining her own adventure in 'Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow.'
