Overview

  • The Summit County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the ‘tragic accident’ and reviewing footage and witness accounts to determine how Schultz fell from the trailer.
  • Schultz, a seventh grader at North Canton City Schools, fell from the front of the trailer at the intersection of Massillon and Steese roads shortly before 11:30 a.m. on May 26.
  • Green Fire Department personnel on site provided emergency aid and transported the teen to Akron Children’s Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 12:04 p.m.
