Matthew Rhys to Lead Apple TV+ Series 'Widow's Bay'

Matthew Rhys will star as Mayor Tom Loftis, a single father who dismisses his townspeople's superstitions about a curse on their New England island.
The series, titled 'Widow's Bay,' has been ordered for 10 episodes by Apple TV+ and is being produced by Apple Studios.
Katie Dippold, known for 'The Heat' and 'Haunted Mansion,' serves as the show's creator, showrunner, and executive producer.
Hiro Murai, acclaimed for his work on 'Atlanta,' will direct the pilot and executive produce alongside Rhys and others.
This marks one of several high-profile streaming projects for Rhys, who is also involved in Netflix's 'The Beast in Me' and Amazon's 'Silent River.'
