Matthew Perry Buried in Elite LA Cemetery Section, Cause of Death Still Under Investigation

"Friends" star Matthew Perry laid to rest in Sanctuary of Treasured Love at Hollywood Hills' Forest Lawn Memorial Park next to celebrities like Michael Clarke Duncan, preliminary autopsy results show no drugs were present in his body at the time of his death.

Matthew Perry, known for his role in Friends, was laid to rest in the Sanctuary of Treasured Love at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Hollywood Hills. This private section of the cemetery is also the final resting place for celebrities including Michael Clarke Duncan, Debbie Reynolds, Carrie Fisher, Sandra Dee, Andy Gibb, and Bette Davis.
Perry was found dead at his residence in LA on October 28, 2023. Although his cause of death is still under investigation, preliminary reports suggest that he did not have any drugs in his system. His assistant reportedly found him unconscious in a jacuzzi, suggesting a possible drowning.
The actor's funeral was attended by his loved ones, including his Friends co-stars Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, David Schwimmer, and Matt LeBlanc. Aniston, reportedly one of the first arrivals, kept 'to herself' once inside the service, rumored to be 'struggling' with the loss.
Perry’s mother, Suzanne Perry, father, John Bennett Perry, stepdad, Keith Morrison, and some of his surviving sisters were also seen at Forest Lawn visiting the cemetery before the funeral, likely preparing for the burial.
Forest Lawn Memorial Park, across from Warner Bros. Studios where Perry filmed his iconic role as Chandler Bing on Friends, is known for its high-profile interments. In respect to privacy and potential crowd control, a large flower arrangement that had been placed on Perry’s gravesite after his funeral was removed.
