Overview

• Officers responded just after 6:30 p.m. Tuesday to South Twenty Mile Road and East Longs Way near the RailBender Skate & Tennis Park.
• Witnesses reported two vehicles stopped side by side, an argument, multiple gunshots, and one vehicle leaving the area.
• Police arrived within about three minutes and found a man dead from gunshot wounds near his vehicle.
• Investigators identified a license plate using community video and Flock cameras, and Douglas County deputies detained the suspect roughly 2½–3 hours later.
• Parker police identified the suspect as Matthew Littlefield, 27, while the Douglas County Coroner’s Office has not yet released the victim’s identity, and detectives are seeking photos, video, or tips via Det. B. Wilson at [email protected] or 303-805-6561.
