  • The new Barbie launched July 8 at Breakthrough T1D’s Children’s Congress in Washington, D.C., linking its debut to policy efforts and awareness for federal diabetes funding.
  • Now available at U.S. retailers for $10.99, a portion of sales supports the Breakthrough T1D Children’s Congress and related advocacy initiatives.
  • Featuring a continuous glucose monitor, insulin pump and a smartphone app display, the doll reflects authentic management of type 1 diabetes in Barbie’s signature pink.
  • Mattel collaborated with Breakthrough T1D over the past year and conducted community focus groups to ensure the medical devices and design accurately represent real‐life experiences.
  • As part of the rollout, Mattel unveiled one‐of-a-kind dolls recognizing Peloton instructor Robin Arzón and model Lila Moss for their roles as diabetes advocates.
