Matt Rife and Elton Castee Submit Offer to Buy 'The Conjuring' House

Their certified offer to Jacqueline Nuñez precedes planned overnight stays under their five-year guardianship of the Monroe museum.

'This might be the most important and prominent piece of paranormal history in the world,' Matt Rife said of the Connecticut house and occult museum that houses a allegedly haunted Raggedy Ann doll, Annabelle.

Overview

  • Rife and Castee formally submitted a certified offer on August 5 to purchase the Burrillville property from owner Jacqueline Nuñez.
  • Earlier this month they secured a five-year lease as legal guardians of Ed and Lorraine Warren’s Monroe, Connecticut home and museum housing 750 paranormal artifacts.
  • Under the existing lease, they plan to renovate the museum, host public tours and offer overnight investigational stays for enthusiasts.
  • Guided visits to the Burrillville house have been suspended since the Town Council declined to renew its entertainment license last year.
  • The pair await Nuñez’s decision as they aim to preserve and reopen the landmark paranormal destination for global audiences.
