Mateer, Blaylock Power No. 11 Oklahoma Past Temple 42-3 as Defense Allows 104 Yards

  • John Mateer threw for 282 yards with a touchdown and an interception and added a 51-yard rushing score, while freshman Tory Blaylock ran for 100 yards and two touchdowns.
  • Oklahoma outgained Temple 515-104 and limited the Owls to roughly 26–27 rushing yards and seven first downs in a 29-7 first-down margin.
  • Defensive end R. Mason Thomas was ejected for targeting in the third quarter and, barring a successful appeal, will miss the first half against No. 24 Auburn.
