  • Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha inaugurated the Rs 20 crore Integrated Command and Control Centre at Katra on June 9
  • The setup includes one main control room and seven sub-control centres along the pilgrimage route in Reasi district
  • A network of over 700 CCTVs, combining 170 new high-definition cameras with more than 500 existing units, covers all critical and vulnerable locations
  • AI-driven analytics enable facial and gesture recognition, automatic number-plate reading, intrusion detection and automated alerts for emergencies like congestion or landslides
  • The Shrine Board provided X-ray baggage scanners, metal detectors and under-vehicle search systems to security teams and Sinha highlighted the need for ongoing staff training and agency collaboration
