Mastermind Behind Celebrity Kidnapping Cases Arrested in Uttar Pradesh

Lavi Pal, accused of abducting actor Mushtaq Khan and comedian Sunil Pal, was apprehended after a police encounter in Bijnor.

Uttar Pradesh Police arrested Lavi Pal, also known as Rahul Saini, following an armed encounter in Bijnor during which he sustained a leg injury.
Lavi Pal is accused of masterminding the abductions of actor Mushtaq Khan in November and comedian Sunil Pal in December, both lured under the pretense of event invitations.
Mushtaq Khan managed to escape captivity within a day, while Sunil Pal was released after the gang extorted ₹8 lakh in ransom from him.
Authorities have recovered a country-made pistol, ammunition, and ₹35,050 from Lavi Pal, with plans to charge him under the Gangster Act and seize assets acquired through criminal activities.
Six other gang members have already been arrested, while police are interrogating Pal to uncover further details about the group’s operations and potential targets in the film industry.
