Mastermind Behind 2005 Bradford Robbery Convicted of Police Officer's Murder

Nearly two decades after the fatal shooting of Pc Sharon Beshenivsky, Piran Ditta Khan has been found guilty, closing an 18-year-long investigation.

Piran Ditta Khan, 75, has been found guilty of the murder of Pc Sharon Beshenivsky, who was fatally shot during a 2005 armed robbery in Bradford.
Khan was convicted nearly 20 years after the crime, following his extradition from Pakistan to the UK last year.
He was also found guilty of two counts of possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life and two counts of possession of a prohibited weapon.
Khan, described as the robbery's mastermind, did not physically participate in the shooting but was deemed as guilty due to his pivotal planning role.
The conviction marks the end of an 18-year-long investigation, bringing closure to Beshenivsky's family and colleagues.
