'Master of Disguise' Fugitive Tyler Adams Arrested in California

Adams, wanted in Hawaii and linked to the death of his girlfriend in Mexico, is set to be extradited next week.

Tyler Adams, known as the 'Master of Disguise' due to his numerous aliases and ability to alter his appearance, has been arrested in Newport Beach, California after nearly two years on the run.
Adams was serving time in Hawaii for theft charges before he escaped custody in 2019 and fled to Mexico.
He is also wanted on federal warrants in connection with the 2022 death of his girlfriend, Racquel Sabean, whose body was found in the trunk of a car in Tijuana.
Adams and Sabean had crossed into Mexico with their 7-month-old daughter, who was later found safe.
Adams is expected to be extradited to Hawaii next week.
