Massive June Search for Missing Actor on Deadly Calif. Mountain Unsuccessful

A search involving over 80 volunteers, deputies, and staff searched Mount Baldy for missing actor Julian Sands with helicopters and drones.
Parts of the mountain remain inaccessible due to extreme alpine conditions like 10-plus feet of ice and snow.
Sands disappeared on January 13, 2023, while hiking the Baldy Bowl Trail on Mount Baldy, which has claimed many lives over the years.
The San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department has conducted eight searches for Sands since he went missing with no success.
Sands starred in several films, including "A Room With a View," "Warlock," and "Leaving Las Vegas."
