Massive Immigration Raid in Texas Leads to 118 Arrests in Crime-Ridden Colony Ridge

Law enforcement apprehended individuals tied to violent crimes, cartels, and gang activity during a coordinated operation in the controversial housing development near Houston.

The joint operation by ICE, Texas DPS, and federal agencies resulted in 118 arrests in Colony Ridge, a development known for its high concentration of illegal immigrants and alleged criminal activity.
Among those arrested was Luis Miguel Perez, an MS-13 member deported seven times, who is accused of committing murder before leading authorities on a seven-hour manhunt.
Authorities seized 344 pounds of methamphetamine during a separate bust involving three individuals, one of whom is suspected of ties to the Jalisco New Generation Cartel.
Charges and convictions among those apprehended include homicide, child sexual abuse, drug trafficking, and weapons offenses, with some individuals having been deported multiple times.
The operation is described as the first phase of a larger investigation targeting criminal networks in the area, which has faced scrutiny for alleged cartel links and predatory lending practices.
