Massive Fires Ravage High-Rise Buildings Across Mumbai and Thane

Separate fires in Dongri, Andheri, and Kalyan high-rises prompt large-scale rescue efforts, with injuries reported and investigations underway.

A major fire broke out in the 22-story Ansari Heights building in Dongri, South Mumbai, reportedly caused by a gas cylinder explosion on the 14th floor.
The fire in Dongri injured three people, including a female firefighter, and displaced over 100 residents, many of whom were rescued from the terrace.
Narrow lanes and obstructive parking in Dongri hindered firefighting efforts, delaying the operation, which took several hours to contain.
Earlier the same day, a fire erupted on the 6th floor of the Chinchan building in Andheri West; it was quickly controlled, and no injuries were reported.
On Tuesday evening, a fire in Kalyan's Vertex Housing Complex damaged multiple apartments across three floors, though no casualties were reported.
