Massive Fires at Delhi Paint Plant, Noida Chemical Factory Controlled After Major Response

Authorities have launched probes into the origins after firefighters from multiple jurisdictions doused the flames without any reported injuries.

Overview

  • Fires broke out around 5:30 AM at a paint factory in Delhi’s Bawana Industrial Area and at Sham Paints Industries in Noida’s Sector 2.
  • Fire services initially dispatched two tenders to each site before summoning reinforcements as explosions and intense flames spread.
  • Delhi units deployed 25 fire tenders to the Bawana blaze while more than a dozen tenders from neighbouring districts and private crews tackled the Noida fire.
  • Crews successfully prevented the blazes from spreading to adjacent factories in both industrial zones.
  • Officials confirmed there were no casualties and said investigations are under way to determine what triggered the fires.
