Massive Fire Engulfs Apartment Building in Plauen

Firefighters face challenging conditions as blaze spreads to the roof, but all residents escape unharmed.

The fire broke out in the fourth floor of a multi-family building in Plauen and quickly spread to the roof.
Despite the intensity of the blaze, all 47 residents and nearby individuals were evacuated safely without injuries.
Firefighters encountered difficulties due to the building's layout, which prevented access to the rear of the structure.
Approximately 50 firefighters from various local departments, along with additional support from Oelsnitz, were deployed to combat the fire.
While neighboring buildings were secured, the affected building is now uninhabitable, with residents being temporarily housed in a fire station and a hotel.
