Authorities believe Kasozi accidentally fell into the freezing lake at the J.C. Phillips Nature Preserve and was unable to escape; temperatures were below freezing at the time.
Her dog, Bokka, was found safe in a nearby town on Christmas Eve, prompting a multi-agency search for Kasozi that concluded with the recovery of her body the following day.
