Mother of three Lindsay Clancy, facing three counts of murder for allegedly strangling her children, researches ways to kill and documents mental state in notebooks and on phone, as court documents reveal a history of severe postpartum depression and overmedication.

  • Lindsay Clancy, a Massachusetts mother who has been accused of murdering her three children, pleaded not guilty to three counts of murder and strangulation. The victims were her 5-year-old daughter Cora, her 3-year-old son Dawson, and her 8-month-old baby Callan.
  • Clancy had researched 'ways to kill' and documented her mental state and different medications she was taking through notebooks and her cell phone. She was reportedly struggling with severe postpartum depression and was overmedicated.
  • Court records indicate that she attempted suicide following the alleged murders. Clancy locked herself in a bedroom, slit her wrists, and jumped from a window, resulting in paralysis from the waist down.
  • Unsealed court documents reveal that the murders were premeditated. Clancy reportedly sent her husband on errands, creating an opportunity to follow through with the killings. She allegedly used Apple Maps to calculate how long it would take her husband to return home.
