Massachusetts Man Kills Wife and Daughter in Murder-Suicide

Rakesh Kamal used an unregistered firearm in the tragic event, amid the family's financial struggles and the dissolution of their education technology company.

Rakesh Kamal, a man from Dover, Massachusetts, shot and killed his wife, Teena Kamal, and their daughter, Arianna Kamal, before taking his own life.
The firearm used in the incident was a .40-caliber Glock 22 pistol, which was not registered to Rakesh Kamal, and he was not licensed to possess it.
The Kamal family had been facing financial difficulties, with their home going into foreclosure and Teena Kamal filing for bankruptcy in 2022.
Rakesh and Teena Kamal were previously involved in an education technology company, EduNova, which was dissolved in December 2021.
Arianna Kamal was a first-year student at Middlebury College, involved in a Women in Computer Science student organization and the college's choir.
