Massachusetts Man Killed by Police in Maine Following Multi-State Chase

- Kenneth Ellis, 52, was shot and killed by a Fryeburg police officer after leading police on a chase that started in New Hampshire and ended in Maine.
- Ellis allegedly refused to pull over and struck multiple vehicles before crashing into a snowbank in front of Norway Savings Bank.
- After crashing, Ellis allegedly got out of the truck and brandished a knife as he approached the police officer who then shot him.
- An Oxford County sheriff deputy who was helping with the chase crashed into a vehicle that turned in front of him on Main Street in Fryeburg.
- The incident is under investigation by the office of the Attorney General and the Maine State Police.
