Massachusetts Authorities Identify Victims in Deadly Dartmouth I-195 Crash

  • The crash occurred Saturday around 1:35 p.m. on I-195 West near Exit 19 in Dartmouth, resulting in a high-impact single-vehicle collision.
  • Both occupants, identified as 19-year-old Kevin Dos Santos Lopes of New Bedford and 18-year-old Amilton De Pina Semedo of Pawtucket, were ejected and later pronounced dead at St. Luke’s Hospital.
  • The force of the wreck dislodged the engine of their 2006 Chevy Equinox, according to Bristol County District Attorney Thomas Quinn.
  • Massachusetts State Police and the Bristol County District Attorney’s Office have deemed the crash non-suspicious and are still determining its cause.
