Nance Flees to Texas and Dies by Suicide During Police Confrontation

23-year-old Romeo Nance is suspected of killing eight people, including seven family members, in Joliet, Illinois.
The victims included Nance's mother, four siblings, and an aunt and uncle.
An eighth victim, Toyosi Bakare, was found shot in the head at an apartment complex. Nance is believed to have randomly fired at him and another man, who was wounded.
Nance fled to Texas, where he fatally shot himself during a confrontation with police.
President Joe Biden offered condolences and reiterated his commitment to addressing gun violence.
