Overview
- Four masked intruders forced entry into a Currie Street home about 2.25am on Monday and stabbed two male occupants during a violent struggle.
- A man in his 40s suffered stab wounds to the chest and abdomen and a man in his 50s was stabbed in the lower back, and both were treated at Royal Perth and Rockingham hospitals before being discharged.
- Officers say the Monday attack is linked to an earlier disturbance about 11pm on Saturday when several people tried to force entry and caused significant damage to the same house.
- Detectives report the suspects were armed with edged weapons including a machete, knife and an axe, and an axe was found dumped on a neighbour’s lawn after the group fled on foot.
- WA Police’s Rapid Apprehension Squad is actively searching for the four suspects and urges anyone with CCTV, dashcam or doorbell footage to contact Crime Stoppers as the investigation continues.
