Masked Intruders Cut Power, Ransack MP Congress Chief Jitu Patwari’s Indore Home

After breaking into Jitu Patwari’s house, the intruders then moved on to the three or four homes in the neighbourhood and set a rampage on houses for nearly two and a half hours.

  • The group of more than five men prowled Bijalpur in Rajendra Nagar from about 2:00 am to 4:30 am before fleeing.
  • They targeted several nearby houses, including those of CMO Rajkumar Thakur and MPEB officer Narendra Dubey, cutting window nets and grills.
  • Electricity to Patwari’s residence was cut, disabling on-site cameras, and the office area was ransacked with drawers and lockers broken.
  • Mobile phones and other obvious valuables were left behind, prompting questions about motive beyond a routine burglary.
  • Indore Police are analysing grainy footage from neighbours and have named the Bank Tanda gang as a lead, while the Congress condemned the breach and renewed calls for Patwari’s security.
