Masked attackers set fire to Mexican market, killing 9

Armed, masked men attacked a public market in Toluca, Mexico, killing 9 people.
The attackers opened fire, doused part of the market with a flammable substance, and fled.
Private security guards abandoned their posts during the attack and are under investigation.
Fires at public markets in Mexico often relate to gang disputes over commercial spaces or extortion demands.
Nearby regions have also seen recent gang violence, including four taxi driver murders in Guerrero state.
