Fresh snowfall coupled with upgraded snowmaking is enabling earlier openings across several marquee resorts.

Overview

  • Masella launched the season on November 26 with 11 km of pistes and 30–35 cm of snow, supported by upgrades that boost snow production about 30% while cutting energy use roughly 25%.
  • Formigal will open this Saturday with around 40 cm from 1,800 m and a €19 opening-weekend pass, starting two weeks earlier than last season.
  • Luz Ardiden in the French Pyrenees is set to open on November 29 with 60 km of pistes available.
  • Baqueira Beret is targeting a Saturday start with 54 km across Baqueira, Beret and Bonaigua, subject to conditions holding.
  • Aramón’s other resorts aim for December 6 depending on weather, while Andorra’s Grandvalira, Pal-Arinsal and Ordino-Arcalís plan to begin on December 5, and some areas such as AstúnCandanchú have yet to announce dates.
