Maryland State Police Seek Red Chevy Equinox After Fatal I-695 Hit-and-Run in Towson

Overview

• Troopers responded shortly before 2:30 a.m. to the outer loop between Providence Road and Dulaney Valley Road in Baltimore County.
• The victim was identified as Ahmed Waqus Qayun Kahn, 30, of Virginia.
• A preliminary probe found a Mitsubishi Outlander hit a concrete barrier, a 2014 Toyota Camry rear-ended it, and occupants stood on the left shoulder when a Chevrolet Equinox swerved onto the shoulder and struck Kahn.
• The Equinox driver left the scene, and investigators believe the vehicle is a red 2025 model with damage to the front passenger side.
• The State Police Crash Team is investigating and asks witnesses to contact the Golden Ring Barrack or Cpl. James Lantz with information.
