Overview

• An inactivation ceremony at Martin State Airport on Sept. 23 formally ended the A-10/A-10C Thunderbolt II operations for the 175th Wing.
• The last two A-10s are scheduled to depart next week to join the Michigan Air National Guard.
• Following the transfers, the Maryland wing will convert to a cyber mission.
• State and federal efforts to keep a flying mission, including a proposed transfer of D.C.’s 121st Fighter Squadron, did not materialize.
