Marvel Sets VisionQuest Release for Oct. 14–Nov. 11 With Long Final Episodes

The eight-episode limited series completes the WandaVision trilogy and could increase the chance its characters or plot elements connect to the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday.

Overview

  • Marvel and Disney+ will roll out VisionQuest on a mixed schedule starting Oct. 14 with two-episode drops the first three weeks and single-week finales that end on Nov. 11.
  • Episodes 1–6 run about 45–54 minutes while episodes 7 and 8 run roughly 62 and 68 minutes, making the last chapters the longest MCU television episodes to date.
  • Marvel surprise-screened the first episode at New York Comic Con on Oct. 8 and critics given early screeners have posted broadly positive reactions ahead of the formal review embargo.
  • The series follows a rebuilt Vision wrestling with identity and parenthood as he consults Stark-era AI personalities inside a simulated mind space and travels with a young man tied to his past.
  • James Spader returns as Ultron in human-avatar form and producers and Spader say the show gives Ultron more narrative room than his movie debut, and because VisionQuest finishes before Doomsday its ties to that film are plausible but unconfirmed.
