Overview
- Marvel will re-release Avengers: Endgame as Avengers: Endgame: Encore with a staggered global rollout that begins on September 24–25, 2026 and runs in multiple markets worldwide.
- Theatrical showings will offer two confirmed runtimes: a standard cut at 3 hours, 3 minutes, and 3 seconds and an IMAX/Infinity Vision certified cut at 3 hours, 6 minutes, and 14 seconds, giving premium audiences roughly three extra minutes of footage.
- Marvel introduced Infinity Vision as a new premium large-format certification that guarantees larger screens, brighter images and enhanced sound for select cinemas carrying the longer cut and the exclusive preview.
- The Encore release will play in a range of formats and languages in key markets including Standard, IMAX, Infinity Vision, ScreenX and 4DX and will include an exclusive Avengers: Doomsday preview on certified screens.
- The reissue is positioned to both prime audiences for December’s Avengers: Doomsday and boost Endgame’s box office, and some outlets have reported—unconfirmed—that Robert Downey Jr. will appear in Doomsday as Victor von Doom, which helps explain Marvel’s framing of the Encore footage as a narrative bridge.
