Marvel Cosmic Invasion Announced as Retro 2D Beat-'Em-Up for Holiday 2025

The game, developed by Tribute Games and Dotemu, will feature 15 Marvel heroes, cooperative multiplayer, and cross-platform play.

Marvel Cosmic Invasion was officially revealed during the March 2025 Nintendo Direct, with a holiday 2025 release date confirmed.
The game will feature 15 playable Marvel characters, including Wolverine, Spider-Man, Captain America, Venom, Nova, Phyla-Vell, and Storm.
Players will battle iconic villains like Annihilus, Taskmaster, and Sentinel enemies in settings spanning Earth, the galaxy, and the Negative Zone.
The retro 2D beat-'em-up offers online co-op, split-screen couch co-op, and cross-platform multiplayer functionality.
Marvel Cosmic Invasion is being developed by Tribute Games, known for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge, in collaboration with Dotemu and Marvel Games.
