Overview
- Marvel and Webtoon publicly announced the new Marvel Comics app on Monday, and the platform is set to launch on November 16, 2026 with pre-registration and a Founder Member offer available now.
- The app will host more than 35,000 digital comics from Marvel plus titles from Star Wars and 20th Century Studios, with plans to expand to other Disney brands such as Pixar and Disney Animation.
- Subscriptions use two tiers: Base at $9.99 per month or $69.99 per year with new issues available up to three months after print, and Ultimate at $12.49 per month or $99.99 per year with new issues available as soon as one month after print.
- Current Marvel Unlimited subscribers can transfer their full libraries and reading histories to the new app, and Marvel has set a decommission schedule that stops new additions on December 7, allows access until December 21, and ends the service on December 28, 2026.
- The Webtoon-built app adds mobile-first features — a dynamic cover-scroll, an updated smart panel for vertical reading, personalized recommendations, and a Pull List for new issues — which could reshape how readers discover and follow series and creators.
