Marvel Actress Carrie Bernans Critically Injured in NYC Hit-and-Run

Driver Charged with Attempted Murder, Bernans in Stable Condition After Surgery

Marvel actress and stuntwoman Carrie Bernans was critically injured in a hit-and-run incident in New York City on New Year's Day.
The incident occurred when a 44-year-old man, fleeing from police after a reported physical assault, drove onto the sidewalk and struck several pedestrians, including Bernans.
Bernans, known for her roles in 'Black Panther' and 'The Color Purple', suffered multiple broken bones, fractures, and chipped teeth, and is currently in stable condition in the hospital.
The driver, identified as Mohamed Alaouie, has been charged with attempted murder, among other charges, and is in police custody.
Bernans' family has asked for thoughts and prayers as she recovers from her injuries and undergoes surgery.
